Finding Salvation

All have sinned and gone astray,
Lost within the night,
Bound beneath the weight of sin,
Far from Heaven’s light.
Yet God sent down His only Son,
To bear the cross for me,
And all who trust in Christ alone
Shall live eternally.

Only believe on Jesus,
Trust in the Savior’s name,
He paid the debt on Calvary,
And bore our sin and shame.
He that believeth on the Son
Hath everlasting life,
O come and trust the risen Lamb,
And He will end your strife.

Not by works that we have done,
Nor goodness of our own,
But by the blood of Christ alone
Can sinful man atone.
He died and rose the third glad day,
Death could not hold Him there,
And all who call upon His name
His grace and mercy share.

“He that heareth and believes
Shall never be condemned,”
Passed from death unto new life,
Through Christ the sinner’s Friend.
The wrath of God on all remains
Who still reject the Son,
But all who place their faith in Him
Are saved forevermore.

Dear Lord Jesus, hear my cry,
I know my sin is great,
But I believe You died for me
To save my soul from fate.
Today I trust completely, Lord,
My life is in Your hand,
Now lead me in Your holy way
Until in Heaven I stand.
